Weekend Wonders- Have an Amazing Weekend!

Can you believe we are already in September? I absolutely can not.

I feel this year has gone so fast- and I don’t even know where it went! How about you?

We are in the full swing of school and fall sports over here. I feel a little like I don’t quit have my routine down yet. I’m sure some of that is because I just got back from traveling out to California last week- it was a brisk but lovely visit.

While in California I tried Blue Bottle coffee- an oh-my-goodness is it good! I had the latte-so smooth! I tried the mocha- smooth with amazingly good quality chocolate. And I tried a hot matcha with oat milk- it was gorgeous, smooth, and not too sweet. I highly recommend Blue Bottle if you need a little pick me up.

While I was traveling I met an angel.

Do you ever feel that you need to have your faith in humanity restored? I do.

It’s been an interesting year- and this past weekend I had a bit of my faith in goodness of people restored.

I had a layover in Dallas this past weekend. At my terminal it was crowded and a little chaotic- with people sitting everywhere including on the floor. My flight had been delayed- and so had several others near me.

Somehow during all of the chaos and my flight being pushed back several times- I did not receive an alert that my terminal had also changed! Long story short- as I was running down the hall in hopes of getting to my already boarding terminal on time- I asked the right Dallas Airport employee for directions. He was such an angel.

As it would turn out that I wasn’t quit going in the right direction and by walking it would take me 25 minutes to get to my destination! AND I need to take the train. I was on the verge of panic- I really needed to make that connection.

This kind man insisted on helping me. He went with me the whole way. I made my flight in the nick of time. I was second to last to board. Without that man traveling with me- despite that fact that I had no money to tip and me letting him know as much- he continued to help me. I could not express my gratitude enough. I still can’t. He was a true blessing.

I will be contacting Dallas Airport this week to let them know what an amazing employee they have. He really went out of his way to help a stranger- he didn’t have to….

I hope any of you reading this feel encouraged that there are good, decent people out there. Keep doing your best to put goodness out in the world, you never know when you’ll be a blessing to someone else.
