As you’ve gathered, I am all about saving time and stressing less. My 3 Favorite Things feature two of my favorite capsule wardrobe pieces and one makeup bag stable. For those who aren’t yet familiar, a capsule wardrobe makes life easier by minimizing your wardrobe down to stables you love that can transition throughout the seasons. A capsule wardrobe helps save so much time, and stress, when you need to get dressed. I’m sharing my 3 Favorite Things from my capsule wardrobe that are my indispensable time savers.
Like so many of you, I am a busy woman. There are days when I am running late, or something pops up, and I need to look presentable quickly! My fall through spring clothing staples are a black, cable knit, crew neck sweater and plaid Sperry Duck boots. While it may not be clothing, I do not leave the house with out Tarte Shape Tape undereye concealer. It is insanely amazing!
Black Cable Knit Crew Neck Sweater
A black sweater is like a daytime LBD (little black dress) for the busy woman. A black crew neck, cable knit sweater can be dressed up or down. It all depends on how you would like to accessorize it.
As you can tell, my sweater is a Target brand. I bought it several years ago and it has held up very well. It is probably one of the backbones of my wardrobe. Personally, I really like Target sweaters. For the price they really go the extra mile.
This black crew neck sweater is so versatile. Pair it with skinny jeans and Sperry duck boots for a casual, but polished look. Bootcut jeans with this sweater add a nice put together, but casual look. For an evening dinner out, I have quickly paired this sweater with skinny jeans, black Jessica Simpson heels, a long gold necklace and small earrings.
Sperry Saltwater Plaid Duck Boots
I love these Sperry Saltwater Plaid Duck boots. They have helped simplify my wardrobe. I did not foresee that happening when I received them for a gift, but they have quickly become a stable. They add an effortless, hip edge to black skinny jeans or regular skinny jeans.
These Sperry’s work well under boot cut jeans. With their Burberry-esc plaid design, they look great paired with skinny jeans. I receive compliments on them all they time.
Sperry Duck Boots are so warm and comfortable that I ended up wearing them exclusively, for 4 days, when I was visiting New York City last March during a snow storm! As you can imagine, I did a lot of walking. I was shocked at how comfortable the Sperry’s were.
Like my black sweater, the Sperry Duck Boots have become indispensable wardrobe stables.
Plus, they zip. No tying! So easy to slip into and head right out the door.
Tarte Shape Tape
My last, but not least, favorite under eye concealer with a funny name, Tarte Shape Tape. This concealer is life changing! That may seem a little over dramatic, but I have dark under eye circles. So dark, that people have asked if I’m OK. But Tarte Shape Tape has changed all of that!
I have searched high and low for a concealer that was up to the task of covering my circles. Thanks to a make-up lady, who works for a competitor of Tarte, I was introduced to this amazing product. I figured if she does not sell it, and she loves it, then it must be good. She was so right.
I apply my undereye moisturizer. Then I apply Tarte Shape Tape to the back of my hand, then use that to dot the concealer under my eyes and blend. It has staying power. It does not fade, nor cake for the whole day.
My big recommendation, if you are interested in trying Tarte Shape Tape concealer, is go into a store and have someone help you. Places, like Ulta and Sephora, have testers and make-up professionals that will help fit you with the right shade.
These 3 Favorite Things allow me to stress less, save time, and look effortlessly put together.
